元・基礎生物学系の研究者。助教までアカデミアパスを歩んだ後に、40歳手前で民間転職。現在は某顕微鏡メーカーの光学顕微鏡スペシャリストを務めています。そのような来歴のなかで、自宅に設置した顕微鏡たちを使って興味を持ったものを気の向くままに観察することを”趣味”としています。たまにマクロも。
本サイトは、個人的な活動としてXで発信している「HARYの眼を通して捉えたミクロワールド」の動画・写真などをまとめています。ミクロワールドの魅力、それを捉える顕微鏡やマクロカメラなどのツールのパワフルさの共有を目的としています。
「知覚の拡張」で「日常の解像度を上げ」て ｢人生を豊かに過ごす｣がモチベーションです。
肉眼では見えないがステキなものごとが、すぐ眼の前には広がっています。普段は気づけないだけなのかもしれません。顕微鏡は、その存在に気づかせてくれる道具のひとつです。
いまや、顕微鏡やカメラなどの光学機器は貴族や専門家だけのものではなく、誰もが手に入れ、自分の眼で覗き、その世界を写真や動画として記録もできる時代になりました。いつか、スマートフォンなどと同じように【一家に一台 顕微鏡】が当たり前の時代になれば、と願っています。
ここでの”出会い”をきっかけに、一人でも多くの方が顕微鏡を手に取り、日常の解像度を高め、その先にある新たな驚きや発見を楽しんでいただけたなら、これ以上嬉しいことはありません。

I began my career as a researcher in basic biology, following the academic path through to an assistant professor position before leaving academia in my late 30s. Today, I work as an application specialist for light microscopes at a microscope compony.
Outside of work, I spend my free time exploring whatever captures my curiosity using the microscopes I keep at home. Occasionally, I also enjoy macro photography.
This website brings together the photos and videos I share on X as a personal project, showcasing the microscopic world through HARY’s lens. My goal is to share both the beauty of the micro-world and the remarkable capabilities of the tools that reveal it—from microscopes to macro lenses.
What motivates me is the idea of expanding perception, increasing the resolution of everyday life, and ultimately making life a little richer. There is far more beauty surrounding us than we can perceive with the naked eye. Most of the time, we simply don’t notice it. To me, a microscope is one of the tools that allows us to discover what has been there all along.
Optical instruments such as microscopes and cameras are no longer reserved for specialists or the privileged. Anyone can own them, explore hidden worlds with their own eyes, and preserve those discoveries through photos and videos. I hope that one day, “one microscope in every home” will feel just as natural as owning a smartphone.
